Christmas Trends!

It’s almost that time of year again! People baking, caroling, and yes decorating. People are adding the traditional Christmas colors to their home – red and green. Is this the only color we are limited to?

Christmas trees can have white lights and traditional multi-colored ones.  Most recently, I’ve seen trees decorated with rose gold and pink, which is absolutely my favorite. I think it’s great to see Christmas tree’s reflect the personality and individuality of the decorater.

Trees with blue and white decorations add a winter theme and vibe to the air. Pink, gold, and black decorations give a more modern edgy twist to the atmosphere.  What about tree decorating for kids?

A Batman tree, perhaps? Yes….I’ve seen this too. Blue, gold and black to make a child’s dream come to life ….and even an adult’s dream too.

The point is – Christmas trends don’t have to be confined to the traditional colors anymore. Be creative and add your own touch or splash of individuality to the scene 🙂

Until Next Time……

For the love of Shoes!

High-heels, wedges, flats, pointy-toe, open-toe, stillettos, flip-flops, ankle boots, and loads more!

What woman doesn’t love shoes? Shoes can range in price and can take a hit on the wallet, if one is not careful.  However, one must have three basic colors of shoes in their closet. This includes a pair of black shoes, beige shoes, and of course brown shoes.

These natural colors will match with just about anything in your closet. Beige shoes or a nude color pair will go wonderfully well with bright summer colors such as teal, coral, or lilac.

Brown shoes pair wonderfully well with mossy green and rustic orange shades.

Black is a classic choice that goes well with just about anything.

Add a Fun Accessory!

Adding accessories with your outfit gives it a more complete and polished look. However, it’s crucial not to go overboard with too many accessories, as this can take away from the overall look.

My suggestion for an everyday casual look is to wear two items only. This could include costume jewelry such as a pair of earrings and a bangle or bracelet.

Try avoid wearing all items at the one time – earrings, bracelets, rings, headband and necklace.

Keep it simple for a more refined look 🙂

Patterns and Prints!

Many people love adding a splash of color to their wardrobes. Colors certainly make a statement when going out in a public place. Aside from colors are patterns and prints. A fun pattern or print in one’s choice of outfit can go a long way. It’s important not to overload your outfit in patterns or prints, as this can be too busy for the eyes and hard to maintain focus.

Pick one article of clothing and pair it with a second article of clothing that is a solid color.  A pair of pants with striped print and solid color t-shirt will definitely do the job! All you have to do then is add a fun accessory to go with it! But, I’ll discuss that in my next blog 🙂
